With in-depth experience of conceptual and detailed design, installation and validation of engineering services, Damien is an accomplished engineer and is now using this experience in his role as a project manager. Damien, through his hands on approach, has helped deliver complex and fast moving projects in both consultant and contracting roles.
At sineQN, Damien manages the interfaces between the engineering and construction teams. Exposure to demanding and complex projects enables Damien to focus on the key elements and risks associated with M&E installations on data centres and large projects. His experience allows him to manage a project from conceptual design stage through to client validation, managing the implementation of successful engineering solutions.
Before joining sineQN, Damien worked as a technical services manager for ISG Interior Exterior. Damien was responsible for project managing all M&E elements of various projects including subcontractor management, design team coordination and client reporting.
Damien began his career in Cundall working as an Environmental Sustainable Designer, liaising with design teams and clients on all aspects of conceptual and sustainable building design. Damien was involved in a recognised steering group which influenced statutory implementation of engineering building regulations. At Cundall, Damien progressed to Senior Mechanical Engineer where he was responsible for large teams coordinating designs for projects ranging from speculative office developments to 7 star residential developments.
Damien studied Building Services Engineering at Dublin Institute of Technology, Ireland before earning an Honours Bachelor of Science from Trinity College Dublin.
Outside of work, Damien enjoys spending time with his family and friends, socialising, keeping fit and when he can, surfing or windsurfing.
